    The issue note elicits that the subject of business’s contribution towards society has expanded from only philanthropy to also integrating a responsible business conduct into its purview. The National Voluntary Guidelines on the Social, Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Business have also been adopted by the Government. The time is right to aim for operationalization of business responsibility in India.
