Exploring the interplay between Business Regulation & Corporate Conduct in India
(BRCC Project)

Under the BRCC project, two such dialogues were proposed to be organized – one for the northern India and the other for the southern India.
This regional dialogue was organized to invite representation from the government, industry, academia, civil society organizations and various other stakeholders from the northern India. The rationale behind this gathering was to refine the research methodology of the project. After sharing the aspects of business regulation and corporate conduct, an overview of the project was presented to the participants. Following from this, the floor was open for questions and clarifications. The participants utilized the opportunity to express their concerns and expectations from the project, and thereafter enriched the dialogue with their insights for refining the research methodology.
The idea of eliciting such inputs from diverse stakeholders was very much appreciated by the participants as generally such gatherings are organized at the end of the project to disseminate the findings of the project or research, with little or no scope for making improvements into the work. Whereas, this gathering was organized in the initial phase of the project, thus, it has adequate scope for incorporating the inputs for better research quality and results. The southern regional dialogue is proposed to be organized in Bangalore on 15th July 2011.
