CUTS with support from FES organised a Parliamentary Forum titled ‘Green Growth and Energy Security in India: Political Economy Transformation and Challenges’ at New Delhi on November 26, 2015 to discuss with the Member(s) of Parliament on the political economy transformation and barriers India is facing today as a developing country. The meeting aimed at analysing key drivers of growth and development, so that state of its availability and barriers related to green growth and energy security can be identified and rectified.This was organised as the final phase of project which proposed to create a political mandate to encourage utilisation of renewable energy thereby reducing the dependence on energy needs on neighbouring countries and subsequently meeting the energy demand of the country.
