National Training Workshops (NTW)

CUTS organised 3-day National Training Workshops on Competition Policy and law issues in each of the Anglophone countries (The Gambia, Ghana and Nigeria) and Francophone countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal and Togo) covered by the 7Up4 Project (www.cuts-ccier.org/7up4), in the month of April 2010.
The National Training Workshop on competition policy and law issues developed the basic understanding of a representative group of multiple national stakeholder including – civil society, lawyers, academicians, business associations, policymakers, government departments, competition authority, etc.
Experienced competition experts and practitioners from Europe, Asia and other parts of Africa facilitated the sessions in these training workshops and familiarise the trainees with various elements of competition policy and law issues. Separate focus group discussions were organised on the sidelines with Parliamentarians and the Media.
