A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between CUTS International and the Government of Rajasthan, marking a significant step towards enhancing economic growth in the state through expanded trade and investment opportunities. This partnership is noted for being distinct from typical arrangements with consulting firms, as it draws on the extensive grassroots knowledge that CUTS International possesses, particularly in understanding Rajasthan’s socio-economic dynamics.

The employment challenges in Rajasthan, particularly among the youth, are being addressed through this initiative. Gender-inclusive job opportunities across various sectors, including agriculture, are expected to be created. The initiative is designed to attract both domestic and international investments, which will contribute to higher state revenues and help alleviate debt and economic instability.

This collaboration aligns with India’s broader vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, emphasising inclusive growth, technological advancement, and economic reform. Rajasthan’s strategic location, abundant resources, and business-friendly policies are recognised as strong factors positioning the state as a prime destination for investment.
