Capacity Building on Electricity Reforms in Bangladesh, India and Nepal

CUTS International with the support of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) is implementing a pilot project over a span of two years (2008-2010) in Bangladesh, India (West Bengal and Rajasthan) and Nepal. The objective of the project is to enhance the capacity of consumers to make them understand the issues involved, take-up action oriented research and carryout advocacy with policymakers and regulatory agencies on electricity regulatory/policy issues.
The said project was formally launched in Kolkata (India) on March 13-14, 2008.During the meeting, all project partners along with various stakeholders such as policy makers, regulators, etc participated.
