CUTS International organised an International Conference on “Competition and Development” on 19th March 2018 at India International Centre, New Delhi.
The opening session was chaired by Professor Frederic Jenny, Chairman, OECD Competition Committee and keynote address was delivered by Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Former Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission of India.
The conference was also graced by distinguished speakers Mr. D. K. Sikri, Chairman, Competition Commission of India; Ms. Teresa Moreira, Head, UNCTAD’s Competition Policy; Mr. Pradeep S Mehta, Secretary General, CUTS International; Prof. Allan Fels, Former Chairman, Australian Competition & Consumer Commission and Professor Eleanor Fox, New York University among other high level dignitaries.
Over 100 participants from across the Globe – South Asia, South East Asia, Africa, United States of America, United Kingdom and India participated in the conference
Also during the conference, CUTS Biennial Report, “India Competition and Regulation Report-2017”, (http://www.cuts-ccier.org/icrr2017/) was released.
