Grassroots Interface Meetings: Phase II

In June-August 2009, Grassroots Interface Meetings (GIMs) were conducted in all the project territories. The main objective of the Phase II meetings was to discuss the possible solutions to the systemic problems being faced by consumers. These systemic problems were recorded during Phase I of the GIMs. Consumers from rural/semi-urban areas actively participated in the meetings.

The sessions were conducted in the presence of local legislatures/public representatives. Apart from the project staff, representatives from the electricity utilities and energy/electricity regulatory commissions also participated as resource persons.
