TERRITORIAL TRAININGS

Background
CUTS International organised two phases of Territorial Trainings (TTs) under the RESA project in Bangladesh, Nepal and two Indian states i.e. Rajasthan and West Bengal.
The TTs were conducted in two phases. The first phase of the training was focussed on general issues relevant to the electricity sector and the second phase, was focussed more on technical issues.
The TT constituted an important component of the RESA project since they created a platform for building capacity and creating awareness among the consumers. The trainings were designed to enhance the capacity of the local CSOs to make sure that they act effectively to transfer the knowledge to the grassroots for making the ordinary consumers aware and capable of participating in the electricity reform process.
- Enhance the knowledge of consumers regarding issues and processes of electricity reforms in the country
- Develop the capacity of the CSOs and enhance consumer participation in the process of electricity reforms
